At Porter-Gaud, uniforms are purposefully designed to allow our students to effectively represent our school’s identity, promote school spirit and unity, and demonstrate respect for our learning environment and mission.

Does the new co-vend policy mean I need to purchase new uniform items?
No, any French Toast items that have been purchased previously are still acceptable and can be worn to school.
Do Lands End and French Toast offer promotions and discounts?
Yes, we will share updates regarding any upcoming sales with you via our weekly parent updates and on social media.
Do I need to purchase PE uniforms for my child?
Grades 1-6: On PE days, students wear their PE uniforms all day.
Grades 7-9: Students receive one PE uniform from the school at the beginning of the course, and they change before and after each PE class. Any students who wish to purchase extra PE uniforms may do so on the French Toast site.
Grades 10-12: Students in grades 10-12 do not take PE. Students may take elective courses in the PE department but are not required to purchase any PE uniforms.
How many uniforms should I purchase?
Deciding the best number of uniforms for your child depends on a variety of factors, including their age and activities. French Toast has helpful parent resources to help guide this decision. You can view it here.
How do I know what size to order?
French Toast offers a sizing and fit guide, which you can access here.
Lands End has an FAQ with on uniform sizing here and also offers a Fit Guide for how to measure your child.
What about outerwear sold by the PGPA?
Spirit shirts purchased from the PGPA can be worn on Fridays with uniform bottoms. In addition, PG-branded sweatshirts and hoodies purchased from the PGPA can be worn any day of the week as approved outerwear.
Will both Lands End and French Toast offer plaid skirts and tennis dresses?
No, at this time, plaid skirts/skorts and tennis dresses will only be available from French Toast or at the gently used uniform sale.
Can my child still wear Lands End items that were purchased prior to 2022, including polos with the horizontal logos?
For the 2025-2026 school year, we will continue to grandfather Lands End uniform items that were purchased prior to 2022, including paid skirts and polo shirts with the horizontal Porter-Gaud logo, for the Class of 2026 only.
