Learning Through Travel

As Pico Iyer, an Oxford-born and educated writer for the New York Times, so eloquently stated in his article entitled Why We Travel, “the first great joy of traveling is simply the luxury of leaving all my beliefs and certainties at home, and seeing everything I thought I knew in a different light, and from a crooked angle.”  This notion, along with careful consideration of our Vision of a Learner, guides our approach to study trips in the Upper School. Each experience is designed to give students the opportunity to participate in place-based learning that allows them to shift the angle of the lens from which they view the world. Below are our offerings for the 2024-2025 school year.
