Semester Schools MondayAny 10th or 9th-grade students that might have an interest in applying to attend a semester school such as the School for Ethics and Global Leadership, the Alzar School, or any other semester school must attend the Semester School Lunch and Learn on Monday, November 18th. Please complete the sign-up form linked below to register for this lunch and learn. The School for Ethics and Global Leadership will present at this lunch and learn. Musical Auditions WednesdayReminder/ auditions are Wednesday, Nov 20th immediately after school for Mamma Mia. There is a sign up sheet at Mrs. Cadden’s desk for times. Those who want to be in the ensemble will need to just fill out a form in the auditorium lobby on Wednesday afternoon. Advisory Pop Tab CompetitionThe pop tab competition ends on December 11th, so don't forget to bring as many pop tabs as you can for your advisory! Save the Date: Porter-Gaud PromThe Junior and Senior Prom will take place on Saturday, April 26th. The Prom Committee wanted to share the date before students purchase tickets for other events happening the same evening. Service this WeekPorter-Gaud is honoring the national Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Please try and participate in as many opportunities as possible this week as we head into Thanksgiving break. Let's pay it forward to those in our community who need it most! Email the homeless shelter support service leaders at anytime this week to learn more about an event: Ella Holzer, Makena Bergren, Ainsley Scarlett, or Grace Nevin. Monday - Canned Vegetable, Gently Used Men's Clothes, and Gently Used Coat Drive begins for Star Gospel Mission and Neighbors Together. Tuesday - School-wide challenge to fill a blessing box! Please send pictures to @pgservice or tag them in your post to encourage others to fill blessing boxes too! Wednesday - Meet outside Ms. Tate's office immediately after school to fill toiletry bags for Neighborhood House. Do you have toiletries from your travels that you can donate? Please bring them in! Thursday - School-wide dress down day to celebrate our school's response for all the drives we have hosted so far this year. Thursday - Charitable bake sale for Star Gospel Mission at 11:20 a.m. by the Rev Statue. Thursday - Volunteer at the March of Dimes Gala from 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Black tie event so volunteers must dress up! Email Lew Thompson or Blair Centurino to sign up. Friday - Write a thank you card to a homeless Veteran or send them an inspirational note! Table will be set-up by the Rev Statue. Saturday - Volunteer at the Feeding of the Multitude at Haut Gap Middle School on Johns Island. Email Ms. Tate for more information.
