Student Flu Vaccine ClinicsSeptember 25, 2024 Dear Families, Porter-Gaud will host three student flu vaccine clinics in October. The CDC/SCDPH recommends an annual influenza (flu) vaccine for all children 6 months and older. As always, vaccine clinics are completely voluntary. Since there are multiple flu vaccine clinic opportunities, please make sure you sign up for the specific clinic you would like your child to participate in and complete the consent form for only that clinic. Onsite Flu Vaccine Clinic hosted by Dottie’s Pharmacy
Onsite Flu Shot and Flumist Clinic hosted by Department of Public Health
The flu shot is the best way to prevent the flu from spreading in our school. It is important that all children and adolescents get vaccinated every year. Studies show that school-aged children who receive flu shots have fewer illnesses, fewer absences from school, and lower rates of illness in their families during flu season. Thank you for all you do to keep our students healthy and ready to learn! Kind Regards, Anna Smith, NP & Ellen O’Dell, RN |
