Community Engagement and Belonging
HBCU Breakfast
The Office of Community Engagement and Belonging and the Office of College Counseling at Porter-Gaud School will host a breakfast program to celebrate National Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Week on Wednesday, September 11.
Breakfast will be served starting at 7:45 a.m., and the program will take place from 8-9 a.m. in Washington Hall on PG’s campus located at 300 Albemarle Road.
The event will highlight the history and role of HBCUs in the United States and will serve as an opportunity to hear from alumni of HBCUs. This event is open to the Porter-Gaud community and other schools in the area. This will be a celebration of Black joy and excellence, and a chance to continue creating a more inclusive community throughout Charleston.
